VVase is a self-watering planter concept proposal for the MTA in the city of New York. The idea is to make bringing part of nature underground into the stations and make it a livelier and more natural place. VVase's body is entirely made out of stainless steel extracted from disposed MTA cars.
After researching MTA's regulations and potential places where the planter could be imagined with enough artificial light to survive and easy access for the staff I chose the empty spaces on the beam as a platform where the planter could be placed. The planter has water storage that will provide the internal vase with enough water for almost a week.
